Ralph A. Sr.

     On February 21, 2008, "Ralph the Barber", age 83 passed away.  A resident of Barrington for over 40 years, Ralph owned and operated Ralph's Barber Shop in Maple Shade for 25 years.  He served in the Navy during WWII and was stationed on the USS Sigsbee in the Pacific Theater.  His ship was struck by a kamikaze pilot while on maneuvers.  Ralph will be remembered as a man that loved his family as well as his work.

      Ralph was the beloved husband of the late, Elvera "Dolly".  He is lovingly survived by his 5 children, Linda (Jeff) Henion, Ralph (Carol) Pisano, Jr., Tony (Dot) Pisano, Kathie (Greg) Shamaun and Mike Pisano; 6 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; his brother, John Preisano and his sister, Rose Cook.

       Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing Tuesday morning from 8:30 - 10:30 AM at the HEALEY FUNERAL HOME, 9 White Horse Pike (at Kings Hwy), Haddon Heights.  His Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday 11:00 AM at St. Francis de Sales Church, Willmont Avenue (at Gloucester Pike), Barrington.  Interment New St. Mary's Cemetery, Bellmawr.  His family will either accept flowers or donations may be made to a charity of the donor's choice in Ralph's name.  www.healeyfuneralhomes.com.


Webmaster's Notes: Ralph A. Pisano, SSMB3c, enlisted in the US Navy V-6 October 25, 1942, at Philadelphia, PA. Service number 244 54 12. He was received aboard the USS Sigsbee DD-502 March 17, 1943 at Brooklyn Navy Yard, NY. Ralph was the Ship's Barber and loved by all who knew him. He attended several USS Sigsbee reunions. Ralph will be missed by all shipmates. Our thoughts and Prayers go out for his family.
