Donald W. Krichbaum, 76

HARRISONBURG Donald William Krichbaum, of 745 Oak Tree Lane, formerly of

Staunton, died Monday (Dec. 9, 2002) at Rockingham Memorial Hospital. He

Was born Sept. 4, 1926, at Pontiac, Mich., to John William and Mary Kathryn

(Dolan) Krichbaum. He was a mechanical engineer.

Mr. Krichbaum was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include a

daughter, Sandra Krichbaum of Lakeland, Fla.; three sons, Gary of Verona,

Steven of Staunton and Kenneth Krichbaum of Debarry, Fla.; two sisters,

Janet Miller of Dayton, Ohio, and Joyce McMeekin of Columbus, Ohio; and a

brother, Dean Krichbaum of Mayfield, Ky.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Lindsey Funeral Home, Harrisonburg.

Burial will be at 2 p.m. at Culpeper National Cemetery. Visitation will be

from 7-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.



Webmaster note: Donald William Krichbaum F1c (WT), Service number 285-83-39, received aboard USS Sigsbee November 23, 1944 at San Francisco from RS Shoemaker, CA. After serving 10 months on the USS Sigsbee he transferred to USS Haynsworth DD-700 September 17, 1945 at Pearl Harbor, HI.
