Clarence A Gilbert Entered Into Eternal Rest Monday, Nov. 28, 1994
Clarence A. Gilbert, 73, Chamois, Died Monday at St. Marys Health Center. He was born Sept, 25, 1921, in Bonnots Mill, a son of Celest and Angela Jacquin Gilbert. He was married to Ruth Peters, who survives at home.
He was a graduate of Price Electrical School and Linn Technical College. He was employed by the Missouri Pacific Railroad signal department and by Central Electric Coop, Chamois, for 30 years until his retirement in 1986
A U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, he was a member of Chamois American Legion Post, the Chamois Methodist Church and the Chamois Fire Department.
Other survivors include: one son Douglas Gilbert, Anchorage Alaska; two daughters, Beverly Buscher and Chreyl Kuschel, both of Chamois; one sister Clara Leivian, Bonnots Mill; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Chamois Methodist Church. The Rev. Norman Witthaus will officiate. Burial will be in Chamois City Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 4 p.m. Wednesday at Meyer Funeral Home, Chaomois.
Pallbearers will be Daniel Kuschel, Michael Buscher, Leon Gerloff, Roy Rackers, Jason Paulsmeyer and Duane paulsmeyer
